The Guitar Hero Live guitar controller will work on the following platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360. Besides trying that, I'm doubting a driver that fixes this is out there. I tried using the guitar before with the game, but I had to use software like 'JoyToKey', but it seemed to mess up with the strum bar and stuff. I have the PS3 Guitar Hero 3 Controller and the software on my PC. Xbox 360 are designed from the start to use with Windows PCs, and drivers for PlayStation 3 controllers were created that allow those controllers to be used on PCs as well, so many gamers hoped that the realistic drum controller set from the game could also be used with a PC. 'Guitar Hero: World Tour' adds new instruments to the 'Guitar Hero' franchise, including a drum set with cymbals. However, when plugging my 'Guitar Hero X-plorer' in to a USB slot, everything except the model is either unknown or unavailable. I'm running Windows 7 which should be able to run Xbox controllers without the need for any extra installation. Plug the X-Plorer Controller's USB cable into an available USB port on the computer.
